Full-Time Paramedic
Middlebury Regional EMS is hiring a full-time Paramedic to serve as a lead clinician in a high-functioning, rural ALS system. You’ll run a steady mix of calls across Addison County alongside experienced AEMTs and EMTs, operating from a modern station with living quarters and a gym, and staffing an ALS-equipped Braun F-Series ambulance fleet.
Compensation & Schedule
Starting salary: $75,000 annually
Schedule: Two (2) 24-hour shifts per week
Time off: Five days off each week
Overtime: 8 hours guaranteed weekly

911 ALS service covering Addison County with a consistent rural call mix
Team-based operations with experienced AEMTs and EMTs

One of Vermont’s three ambulance-based Heavy Rescue teams
Active role in training, mentorship, and regional preparedness
What You’ll Do
Serve as a lead clinician on ALS calls across a wide range of patient presentations
Provide high-quality patient care in a rural EMS environment
Work closely with AEMTs and EMTs in a collaborative team model
Participate in training, mentorship, and quality improvement efforts
Contribute to a professional, accountable, and supportive station culture
What We’re Looking For
Current Paramedic certification (Vermont or eligible for reciprocity)
Strong clinical judgment and comfort practicing independently
Experience in 911 EMS or comparable clinical settings
Professional, team-oriented approach to patient care
Interest in long-term practice within a community-focused service
