Emergency Medical Technician Course
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course is the core certification for individuals seeking a career in emergency medical services. EMTs provide emergency medical care, assess and treat patients, operate ambulances, and serve as a critical link in the healthcare system.
Whether you're interested in joining an ambulance service, pursuing a career in healthcare, serving your community, or developing skills for fire service and public safety, EMT certification opens the door to a wide range of opportunities.
Students will develop the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to assess patients, manage medical and traumatic emergencies, perform lifesaving interventions, and provide care during transport to definitive medical treatment. No prior EMS experience is required.
This course meets or exceeds the National EMS Education Standards and is conducted in accordance with Vermont EMS requirements.
