Emergency Medical Responder Course
The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course is an excellent introduction to emergency medical services for anyone interested in learning lifesaving skills, helping their community, or exploring a career in EMS. Whether you're considering becoming an EMT, looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity, pursuing a second career, or simply want the confidence to respond in an emergency, this course provides a strong foundation in emergency care.
Students will learn how to recognize medical emergencies, assess patients, provide CPR, control bleeding, manage airways, and deliver lifesaving assistance until higher levels of medical care arrive. No prior medical experience is required.
EMR certification is also valuable for firefighters, law enforcement officers, industrial responders, search and rescue personnel, coaches, teachers, and others who may be called upon to help before an ambulance arrives.
